The short version: Sweets 'n' Things Rewards is free and just for fun. It's our way of saying thank you for shopping local. Rewards have no cash value, and we can change or end the scheme at any time. Your statutory rights are not affected.
1. What the scheme is
Sweets 'n' Things Rewards ("the scheme") is a free loyalty scheme run by Sweets 'n' Things, The Maltings, Worle, Weston-super-Mare, BS22 6JB ("we", "us"). You add your till receipts from our shop at sweetsnthings.co.uk/pages/rewards. We keep a record of your visits and spend, and from time to time we offer rewards and member perks.
2. Joining
- You must be 13 or over to join. If you're under 13, a parent or guardian can join instead.
- One account per person, using your own UK mobile number.
- Keep your PIN private. You're responsible for anything done on your account with your PIN. If you forget it, pop into the shop and we'll reset it.
3. Adding receipts
- Only receipts for purchases you made in person at our shop count. Online orders are not included.
- A receipt can only be added once, by one person, within 14 days of purchase.
- A receipt of £5 or more counts as a visit.
- There's a limit on how many receipts you can add each day.
- We check every receipt against our till records. Receipts from today are added by the next morning.
- If a purchase is refunded, cancelled or returned, we may remove it from your account.
4. Rewards
- Rewards, points, visits and spend totals have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for cash or credit, and they can't be transferred, sold or swapped.
- We decide what rewards are offered and when, and we may change them at any time. Any conditions, such as expiry dates, limits, "while stocks last" or "one per customer", will be shown with the reward.
- Unless we say otherwise, rewards can't be used with other offers, on online orders, or on gift cards, lottery, PayPoint, tobacco or vapes.
- Perks such as early access to new releases (for example Pokémon and other trading cards) are offered at our discretion and are subject to stock and any per-customer limits.
5. Fair use
We want the scheme to be fair for everyone. We may refuse a receipt, remove visits, spend or rewards, pause adding receipts, or close an account if we reasonably believe the scheme has been misused. Examples include adding other people's receipts, guessing receipt numbers, running more than one account, or reselling rewards.
6. Changes to the scheme
- We reserve the right to change these terms, change or withdraw any reward, or suspend or end the scheme at any time.
- Where we can, we'll give reasonable notice on this page. If the scheme ends, any rewards not yet used will lapse at the end of the notice period.
- The scheme is offered as a goodwill gesture, and nothing in it forms part of your contract when you buy from us.
7. Your information
What we keep:
- Your first name and mobile number.
- Your PIN. It's stored scrambled, so even we can't read it.
- The receipts you add: the date, the total and what was bought.
- Whether you've asked to hear about offers.
Why: to run your account, work out your visits and rewards, stop misuse, and (only if you tick the box) send you offers and new-release news that suit what you like to buy. We rely on our agreement with you to run the scheme, and on your consent for offers.
Texts and offers: we only send these if you ticked "text me offers". You can stop them any time by replying STOP or telling us in the shop.
Where it's kept: securely, with our database provider (Supabase) on servers in London. We never sell or share your information with other businesses for their own marketing.
How long: while your account is open. If an account isn't used for 2 years, we delete it. You can ask us to close your account and delete your information at any time.
Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Our full Privacy policy also applies.
