In memory of James Kirby

We are deeply saddened by the loss of James Kirby, who was killed while working as an aid worker in Gaza on Monday 1st April. James's mum, Jacqui, worked with us here at Sweets 'n' Things in Meadow Street for many years, and we have fond memories of her.

James was a local lad who attended St Mark's Primary School and Priory School. He grew into a brave and generous man, and Jacqui was immensely proud of him — as she had every right to be.

Our love and deepest condolences go out to Jacqui, James's family, and all their friends at this terribly sad time. He will be remembered as a true hero.
