Heads up: fake £20 notes in Worle

We wanted to let you know that we've had attempts to spend counterfeit £20 notes in our shop and around the local area. We're checking notes carefully at the till, but we thought it was worth giving everyone a heads-up so you can stay on your guard too.

If you handle cash — whether you're running a business or just out and about — take a quick look at any £20 notes that come your way. Trust your instincts: if something doesn't feel right about a note, it's absolutely fine to politely refuse it. Don't feel pressured into accepting anything you're unsure about.

This sort of thing hits small local shops hardest, and it's really frustrating for everyone trying to trade honestly. We're grateful to everyone who supports local businesses and plays fair. If you've spotted anything dodgy, do let us know.
